35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Ecopoly SRL was formed in 2009 by Stephen Smyth after selling his UK film extrusion and bag making business. A major manufacturer to the UK fashion industry and specified supplier to most high street fashion groups for more than 20 years, Stephen continued the development of film & bags for the fashion industry, pioneered by his father Stanley Smyth, some 49 years earlier.
His focus now is on expanding the plastics recycling industry in Romania, and pass on the knowledge and experience to a younger team in the field of recycling, the "new" industrial frontier.
The British designed and managed factory uses modern European equipment in its processes. With a trained dedicated team of Romanian technicians Ecopoly is producing a range of high quality, high value materials and returning these back to the plastics manufacturing industry and, in so doing, reducing the industry's "Carbon Footprint" and promoting the mantra "REDUCE-RECYCLE-REUSE".
Working with their clients to make recycled polythene compounds, Ecopoly SRL are continually improving their technologies and developing their products - exchanging ideas and encouraging innovation throughout the recycling chain. And, in doing so, promoting recycled products that lead to greater savings for business and the environment.
Ecopoly's process helps Romania meet European Waste Directives and are committed to Europe as a whole in this field.
